The volunteer program at Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS grew out of our need for people to help with the productions of our major fund-raising events throughout the year. As a fund-raising organization which is essentially event-driven, we have no regularly-scheduled volunteer sessions but bring in "the troops" as needed. These office volunteers are separate from the many volunteers within the companies of shows who raise money for us throughout the year here in NYC and around the country. Volunteers help with such tasks as mailings, flyer and poster distribution, passing out red ribbons at the Tony Awards and Daytime Emmys and other events, ushering, program stuffing and distribution as well as picking up donated merchandise and collecting contributions at events around the city...
