- Up Our Alley 14 is Classical Action’s 14th annual benefit bowling bonanza, taking place on October 22 and 23 at Bowlmor Lanes Union Square.
- We take over both floors of the bowling alley, all 42 lanes, from 6:30 – 9:30 pm. Teams bowl on one of the two nights (not both).
- More than 650 people (80+ teams as well spectators and cheerleaders) are expected to attend.
- Teams participating this year represent every aspect of the performing arts industry as well as a wide spectrum of professionals from finance, advertising, marketing, unions and more.
- Each team is encouraged to raise a minimum of $4,000 ($500 per participant), solicited by team members (similar to a walk-a-thon).
- Donations for Up Our Alley 13 ranged from $3 to $3,550.
- Since the first Up Our Alley in 1999, we have raised more than $1.2 million to help men, women and children affected by HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening illnesses.
Up Our Alley provides participants a unique opportunity to network and enjoy time with colleagues and friends. Skill isn't required. Bowling is simply a fun way to get together while raising raise money for an important cause.
Up Our Alley helps hundreds of thousands of people from New York to Seattle, Miami to Minneapolis living with HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening illnesses.
Founded in 1993, Classical Action: Performing Arts Against AIDS is a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, one of the nation’s leading industry-based, nonprofit HIV/AIDS fundraising and grant-making organizations. Money raised will help those most in need receive medicines, counseling, healthy meals, safe places to sleep, emergency financial assistance and more.
