At the October 7, 2009 meeting of the Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS Board of Trustees, those in attendance presented Joseph Benincasa, Executive Director of The Actors Fund, with a check for $3,400,000 – representing BC/EFA’s support in fiscal year 2009.
Since 1988, BC/EFA has awarded The Actors Fund over $51 million to support such programs as The AIDS Initiative, The Phyllis Newman Women’s Health Initiative, The Al Hirschfeld Free Health Clinic, The Actors Work Program, The Dancers’ Resource, The Stage Managers Project and more.
